Senior Licensed Therapist

Working in a lead roll, utilizing your experience and education to help others!


Job Description 

Description:
Provide ongoing weekly therapy to children, parents and families. Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports; counsel clients and patients, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes.
Must have the ability to think globally, solve problems and have good decision-making skills, including critical thinking skills.
Position Expectations and Essential Functions:
  • Provide ongoing weekly therapy to children, parents and/or families.
  • Encourage clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives and help them to develop insight into themselves and their relationships.
  • Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems.
  • Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports. 
  • Maintains Licensure per state applicable laws.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Clinical Services
Position Requirements:
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven written report writing skills. Mastery of Microsoft Office. 
Education Requirements: 
Credentials will include a terminally New Jersey licensed therapist with a minimum of 3 years post licensure experience. Minimum of a Master’s Degree in a related field.
Other Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in the state where the work site is located only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Possession and ability to provide proof of personal liability insurance.
  • Clear criminal history review record.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of the theory and practice of psychology and/or social work, counseling or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of diagnosing using the standard Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental  Disorders.
  • Basic knowledge of the varied types of tests and in interpreting tests and test results.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, policies, objectives, and standards.
  • Ability to carry out assigned work and to develop effective work methods in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively with facility staff and other persons interested in or concerned with the treatment programs and services.
  • Ability to draft correspondence.
  • Ability to maintain established records and files.
